Post Placement, Rehoming and Behaviour Policy

“Understand, a poorly socialized, but friendly dog can easily start a fight he’s not looking or prepared for. If I ran up to every stranger I met and tried to hug them, sooner or later someone would punch me in the face.”

Chad Mackin

🐾 Post-Placement Support & Behaviour Policy

Your puppy has had the benefit of an enriched learning environment, through play and socialization opportunities.  As a responsible breeder, my commitment to each puppy extends well beyond the day they go home. I am here as a resource for the lifetime of every dog I produce.

However, successful ownership is the buyers responsibility. Training, socialization, and management play a critical role in shaping a dog’s behaviour.

If Behavioural Concerns Arise

If you experience any behavioural challenges—including reactivity, fear, protectiveness or aggression—it is expected that you:

  • Contact me promptly to discuss the situation

  • Work with a qualified trainer or behaviour professional when recommended

  • Follow through with appropriate management and training strategies

Early intervention is key, and I am happy to help guide you to reputable trainers or behaviour specialists. Failure to seek appropriate training or to safely manage a dog displaying concerning behaviour may limit my ability to assist in rehoming efforts.

Rehoming & Returns

If at any point you are unable to keep your dog:

  • I am willing to assist you in finding a suitable new home or provide guidance on safe and responsible next steps

  • I cannot guarantee that I will take the dog back into my home

  • My role is to support and help facilitate a safe, appropriate outcome for the dog
